Tom worked on the piece all day. Later that evening he watched a show on PBS. The show was about a place in New Mexico called Chaco Canyon. As he watched, he was fascinated and felt a connection with the culture and people of Chaco Canyon. He realized the "found" sculpture seemed to have the same spirit as the people from Chaco Canyon. Several signature designs which Tom has used from the beginning of his work with metal were also shared with the Chacoans.
