Farewell from Hammer Song Farm

hammersongfarmcollageThe Blands are ready to begin another new adventure. As some of you may know, Tom has had two back surgeries in the past year. He is on the mend but this has created a new path for us. He will no longer be working with the large metal sculptures. We have decided to downsize with a move to a nearby lake community. Wow! What a wonderful, fun and peaceful place it has been for us and many of you. It has generously given us a most remarkable life for our family and friends.

Tom believes, when destiny changes your path, Embrace It! You can’t be truly happy holding on to what no longer works. While you are looking back, you may miss a new opportunity presenting itself!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, to all of the people who have supported us, shared your time with us, and inspired us. We have had such an amazing time here at Hammer Song Farm. We cannot express our gratitude for your friendships. Many of you have purchased pieces and watched Tom’s work grow and change over the years, thank you for making our journey possible.

Some of our fondest memories have come from our time spent in the workshops. You have allowed us to be part of your desire to create and share countless memories. We have made many lifelong friends and been part of amazing stories through our time together. If you have a story or memory about the workshops or maybe about a piece you purchased, we would like to hear from you. And we love the pictures, so please send them along.

Tom will continue into a new medium and I can’t wait to see where this takes him. He is excited to begin the building process of another creative venture.

You, our extended family will be part of this adventure. We will keep you informed of the new art form, what it is, and when it will be ready.

“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”

These words by Henry David Thoreau have shaped and guided our family and will continue to do so the rest of our lives. They have inspired us to be, like so many of you, brave and follow our dreams.

A quiet country road follows a winding river.

There are fragrant hay fields and beautiful gardens.

Cool shade trees surround a cottage-like farm house.

This is Hammer Song Farm.
